A VOICE OF ENCOUNTERS

About

Born in São Paulo, Ana Aoás is a Brazilian singer guided by the rich cultural encounters of her homeland. At EMESP Tom Jobim, she deepened her musical foundation through performance and research into Brazilian popular music. For four years, she performed for diverse audiences at Bar Brahma, one of São Paulo’s most traditional live music venues, as well as at many other venues across the city.

Artistic Vision

Now based in Paris, Ana opens a new artistic phase with Raízes da Bossa, a project that opens Bossa Nova into a wider Brazilian music experience beyond the postcard.

Through Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), Samba-Jazz, African-rooted rhythms, poetry and contemporary sounds, her work reveals Brazil through contrasts.
